Whats going on in the life of Chris Parker
Just an update on how things are (not) progressing with EasyMessaging (formally PowerSMS).. The way things are looking, I am pushing for a Q4 2005 release of EasyMessaging.. I hope to get FreeVodaFone SMS back up around the same time as well… I want to run it all off the same sort of backend code but change just the sending class between the 2 sites…
As most of you know, I closed Bahuma Free SMS on March 26th. It was sparked by a change in webhost which made me revisit the code that runs free sms. Essentially, the code is a disaster and contains more insecurities than I would like to admit too. I will be trying to get it going again but it needs a bit of time which I am short of at the moment. I will let everyone know when I have a working re-release (SMSv4)…
The first PowerSMS public preview has been released and is available at powersms.bahuma.net/. It is mainly a chance for anyone out there to check out the layout and provide comments. Please let me know what else should be added so I can try and get it in there for the final release!
