Dang
A fair bit has happened over the past month. I returned to Surf City, NJ on the 2nd to help out with some more geophysical mapping. The project down there went really well and the beaches were opened before the deadline which was good news all around.
While we were there, a wildfire was sparked nearby when an F16 dropped a flare in pinelands. The fire was < 10 miles from where we were. The glow of the fire on a couple of evenings was amazing (in a scary way).
After returning from Surf City it has been back to the office. Being in the office has a few perks. I have recently “taken up” (attempting to play) golf. I have managed to get two games in a week with some buddies from work. I would like to think I am improving but it depends on the hole. I played this evening at Deer Valley but I prefer playing Spring Creek.
I have also been bowling consistently for the last 4-5 months. Last week I actually bought myself my first bowling ball! It is a 14 pound Hammer Vibe.
I have only bowled with it once but it seems to be ok.
Memorial Day weekend has just come and gone. It was pretty good with copious amounts of beverages consumed up on the hill with the neighbors. Good times!
Lastly, I have weakened and reentered the realm of video games. I was in Target and they had some Nintendo Wii’s in stock. After pacing around the store for about half an hour umming and arrrring I bit the bullet. I am now in the process of working my way through Wii Sports. If any one else has a Wii, my console number is 2062161586102147.
I think that is a wrap for the moment. Adios
