Movie Conversion

Filed under: General — Chris Parker @ 09:21

Hey

Just a heads up for those out there that need to convert video formats. My digital camera takes short movies in Quicktime MOV format. These movies are around 10 meg. I googled up a tool which converts most video formats. I managed to get my movies of vegas down to a couple of meg with negligable quality degradation.

The free software I used was RAD video tools available at http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm

Bowling Take 2

Filed under: General — Chris Parker @ 11:07

It’s Saturday afternoon here in flag and I have just come back from bowling. Cant say I did as well as I did last time. We played three games with Jhana and I even winners on 123 in the first match – that was after I got 0 in my first frame. It went down hill from there with a last place and then a second place in the next 2 games.

The main difference this time was that we were not drinking and I could not find my lucky ball!

I think we will have to head down in the evening again, sit in the bar for an hour and then start bowling – watch those pins fly!

Vegas

Update: The Video’s and pictures are now available on the gallery

Hey

Just back from vegas and I did not gamble a cent! It was a good trip. We stayed at the New York, New York Hotel and Casino. It was very swanky! We had a fantastic view from the 20th floor.

I went to the stratosphere hotel and casino and rode the thrill rides. The stratosphere is over 100 stories high. The rides were the x-scream, high roller and the big shot. They were fantastic! I will have some pictures in my vegas gallery soon.

I watched the water fountains at the Bellagio – they were really beautuful. They move and light up with music. I will put some small vids on the gallery soon!

The weather this time was much more of the hot variety – around 110F. Last time it would have been in the 50’s.

We all went out to dinner @ Mizuno’s. It is a Japanese steak house in the tropicana casino. The Chef cooked our meal in front of us on the hotplate built into the dining table – it was a great experience!

Apart from the browsing of various other casino’s, that was the weekend!

4th July Weekend

Filed under: General — Chris Parker @ 03:40

God bless America! I love 3 day weekends!

I have been playing around with a new design for my main site (bahuma.net) over the weekend. I am trying to do it all in CSS without using tables. It is going well so far, but I am having some troubles lying out the sms form without using tables. You can have a sneak peak of what I have done here
Went to a party on friday night – it was a great night. Plenty of drinkies, food and drunken dancing around. There is another party 2nite but I have not made my mind up yet – see what happens!
