Bowling

Filed under: General — Chris Parker @ 03:14

Hello

I have had a pretty good weekend so far. I went out on both Friday and Saturday nights. Friday was the drink fest with the vodka redbulls making an appearance. Saturday night was bowling and pool night. I did reasonably well @ bowling, almost winning one game and putting up a fight in the others. I wish I could say the same for pool, I am hopeless.

The monsoons are starting to hit here in Flag. The temperatures are still good but the daily thunderstorm activity has increased bigtime.

Thats all for now!

Frisbee

Hiya all!

It has been a couple of very busy weeks here in Flag. Work work work.

Last weekend Craig, Ian and I went down to the uni and played frisbee. It was great fun! I hadn’t played frisbee in years!

I went out to a Rodeo last night. Saw some rope throwning and bull riding. It was pretty cool. Half of Flag was there in their wranglers and cowboy hats!

Anyway, I need to go to safeway cause I have no food so you all behave now you hear :-)

Day Out in Flag

Filed under: General — Chris Parker @ 12:05

Hey

Got off my bum today and went with a group of people from work to a few local geological delights. The first stop of the day was at the Lava Tubes about 15 miles from flagstaff. They are around 1.5km long and are pretty specky. While at the tubes, i managed to hit my head and make a mess of my forehead. I will be wearing a hat for a few days :-)

After the tubes, we went to Sunset Crator. It is a cinder cone volcano which was also pretty cool. We did not have time to do it properly so sometime I might head back and have a better look around.

Pictures from both locations are on gallery at http://www.bahuma.net/gallery/usa/
